How did you get into Slopestyle: I first learned to ski on holiday when I was 2. When I was 7, I joined a ski club and started alpine ski racing but this was very expensive so I gave up after 3 years. Then 4 years ago I went to a freestyle taster session at Snozone, Castleford, and I was hooked. I got my first pair of twin tips off Ebay and won silver at my first competition. In 2013 I was spotted by a snowboard coach who wanted to help me even though I’m a skier. I’ve been training with Why Ain’t You Jibbin ever since. I’m now the English Slopestyle Champion and I train in Austria during winter.
What activities do you do outside of skiing: I do a lot of trampolining because it’s essential to my freestyle skiing. I also do a bit a wakesurfing in summer. I’ve been taking drumming lessons for about a year. I’m not very good but I love it.
Future plans: I’m aiming to learn some sick new tricks including double backflips and underflips. I’m also planning to train and compete in North America for the first time. My goal is to be selected to compete for team GB at the Junior World Championships in Italy.
